Friday, Feb. 14

A PC Valentine’s Day @ 10 Barrel East

  • FRI“Love is in the air! Valentine’s Day is upon us, and there’s truly no better way to celebrate than with a live, original show, a fancy dinner, and locally beloved 10 Barrel beer. Throw on your Friday best (formal wear optional, but encouraged), and take your sweetie (or your friends, or your cat) to the interactive event of the year!

Red Chair Speed Dating @ Mt. Bachelor

  • FRI“Are you looking for that special ski bum, or that perfect snow bunny to take your turns with? Say goodbye to the Singles line and come and meet your new riding buddy as we partner with Deschutes Brewery for a Speed Dating event on Red Chair – the lift of love! We’ll have single lines set up at Red Chair, so you’ll be able to take a special ride up together and slash some pow on the way down to the Deschutes Woody which will be onsite, sampling, none other than, RED CHAIR!.”

Valentines Day @ Black Butte Ranch

  • FRICelebrate Valentine’s Day at Black Butte Ranch! Enjoy a memorable night out on Valentine’s Day at the Lodge Restaurant. Our chefs are planning a spectacular four-course prix fixe meal, with a wine flight available. Valentine’s Fondue for Two @ Faith Hope & Charity Vineyards

  • FRIJoin us for a romantic dinner including a 4 cheese fondue, with sausage, roasted vegetables, and a generous portion of bread for dipping. Pair this with your favorite wine available for purchase. $35 for fondue for two, and $20 for fondue for one. Friday Feb 14th from 12 pm to 8 pm, Saturday, Feb 15th from 12 pm to 8 pm, Sunday, February 16th from 12 pm to 5 pm.”

Winterfest Wine Walk @ The Old Mill District

Romance On The Snow @ Wanderlust Tours

  • FRI-SAT“Celebrate the day that Oregon became a state (and Valentine’s Day) around a cozy bonfire in the snowy forest! This is an unforgettable way to celebrate a day of love with the one you love! Journey through an old-growth forest to a bonfire crackling at the center of a hand-carved snow amphitheater! Spend the night relaxing around the fire while enjoying desserts and hot drinks. Your naturalist guides will share interpretation about the forest and its inhabitants, Bend’s natural and cultural history, and the stunning night sky! If the romance of being under the stars in a peaceful forest isn’t enough, Wanderlust will be adding several special touches (including a Champagne toast) to make the night one to remember!”

The Spider’s Web @ Cascades Theatrical Company

  • FRI-March 1“Clarissa, wife of a diplomat, is adept at spinning tales of adventure but when a murder takes place in her drawing-room she finds live drama much harder to cope with. Desperate to dispose of the body before her husband arrives with an important politician, she enlists the help of her guests. Hilarity ensues when they are interrupted by the arrival of wry detective, Inspector Lord. A conscious parody of the detective thriller, Christie delivers a unique blend of suspense and humor. There is tension and laughter in equal parts in an intricate plot of murder, police, invisible ink, hidden doorways, and secret drawers.”

Mining Day @ The High Desert Museum

Nokian Tire Scavenger Hunt @ Mt. Bachelor

  • SAT“New year, new take on the beloved Nokian Green Tire Giveaway. Join us to talk safety and best practices with the experts, and you could WIN a set of Nokian Tires! Shovels, Transceivers and Probe are required to participate and the “hunt” will be set up at the bottom of Milky Way, lookers left of Little Pine chairlift. All ages are welcome to come connect with Central Oregon Avalanche Center, Mt. Bachelor Ski Patrol and meet our avalanche rescue dogs.”

Opal Spring Boys @ Faith Hope & Charity Vineyards

  • SAT“Faith Hope & Charity Live at the Vineyard presents: Opal Spring Boys. Folk/Americana. Kids 12 & Under Free.”

The Royal Run @ The Old Mill District

  • SAT“Join us for The Royal Run, an adventurous 5K race through the 2020 OnPoint Community Credit Union Oregon WinterFest grounds! You’ll start and finish in the grass area behind the Deschutes Brewery warehouse. This is a Poker Run – costumes are strongly encouraged. The Royal Run 5K takes runners through the Old Mill District and along the Deschutes River, featuring a mixture of paved paths and groomed trails. Runners draw a playing card at each checkpoint, and the runner with the best hand at the finish line wins a prize!”

 


Sunday, Feb. 16

Coca-Cola FloatSki @ West Village Lodge, Mt. Bachelor

  • SUN – “We’re excited to offer free Coca-Cola Floats on Sunday, January 19th from 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.! We will be doing this in Cocoa’s near The Corner Bar, or on the West Village patio if weather allows! Come enjoy some delicious floats at the end of your ski day.”

Hot Cocoa Run @ The Old Mill District

  • SUN – “Aspiring princes and princesses are invited to the Kid’s Hot Cocoa Run on Sunday, February 16th. Costumes are encouraged! Join us for the first PacificSource Kids Rock the Races event of the season! After being crowned, kids will run from station to station collecting cocoa ingredients, and as they cross the finish line they will get the final touch — a splash of hot chocolate and a finisher ribbon! This event will leave the little runners feeling like they rule the world!”

Jr. Snow Ranger @ West Village Lodge, Mt. Bachelor

  • SUN – “Discover Your Forest and the Deschutes National Forest invite you to enjoy some fun family time in the forest as your kids become Junior Snow Rangers! The Junior Snow Ranger events are designed for children to explore Central Oregon’s winter wonderland. Activities include snowshoeing, winter safety, exploring snowflakes, wildlife tracking, winter ecology, and the joy of winter fun. The program’s mission is to inspire youth to embrace a life-long relationship with the winter environment, and to become stewards of the land.”

Military Mondays @ Hoodoo

  • MON (winter)“Hoodoo is proud to give back to our military by offering 2-FOR-1 lift tickets to current and former veterans each Monday with a valid military ID. Hoodoo does not offer any discount ski tickets during Peak Pricing periods. Peak Pricing periods include Winter Break, MLK Weekend, Winter Carnival, and Presidents’ Day Weekend.”

Paulina Lake Lodge & Cabins

  • FRI-SUN (Winter) “Experience the magic of Paulina Lake in winter! The lodge restaurant and cabins open for winter on Dec. 20th – YAY! Snowmobile, snowshoe or take the snowcat up to the lodge for their prime rib dinner! Be sure to make a reservation!”

Snowshoe With A Ranger @ Mt. Bachelor

  • Weekends through March 29th“Join a naturalist on a snowshoe tour at Mt. Bachelor! Learn about alpine environments and the natural features of the Cascade Range. Wear snow boots and warm winter clothing. Snowshoes will be provided. No previous experience is required. Snowshoe tours are FREE, however, donations to support tours and other Discover Your Forest programs are greatly appreciated. Tour size is limited, so first come first served. The minimum age is 8 years old. Advanced reservations required for parties of 6 or more.”

Trails & Treats @ Brasada Ranch

  • Each Saturday this winter“We’re not sure what the treat is, the homemade Brasada s’mores and hot chocolate or the horseback ride to Spirit Rock. No matter your preference, join Brasada Trails every Saturday from 1pm – 3pm this winter for trail rides to Spirit Rock where you’ll roast s’mores over the open fire pit and sip hot cocoa while enjoying the breathtaking views as far as the eye can see.”

Tubing Hill @ the Sunriver Homeowners Aquatics & Recreation Center (SHARC)

Crater Lake Tour

  • ONGOING (Saturdays, year-round)Experience Oregon’s only National Park with a professional naturalist guide. Departing Bend, Oregon, we’ll make our way up the south flank of old Mt. Mazama to the rim encircling one of the world’s most stunning bodies of water! With snowshoes strapped to our feet, we’ll course our way along the volcanic rim for incredible views down to Crater Lake. Fantastic memories are created when taking in the depth of the lake’s blue, white snow, evergreen trees, and the blue sky while the guide unfurls the area’s geology, hydrology, and human history. Wanderlust Tours will provide a tasty deli-lunch prior to heading back to Bend.”

A Starry Night At The Observatory
