The Women of the Year Awards showcases inspirational stories and extraordinary achievements by formally recognizing and celebrating the outstanding contributions of individuals in our region. The Women of the Year Awards honor exceptional individuals of all ages, of diverse cultures and roles, celebrating their power to spark change and improve their community and beyond.”

Monster X Tour @ Deschutes County Expo Center

The Spider’s Web @ Cascades Theatrical Company

  • FRI-SUN – “Clarissa, wife of a diplomat, is adept at spinning tales of adventure but when a murder takes place in her drawing-room she finds live drama much harder to cope with. Desperate to dispose of the body before her husband arrives with an important politician, she enlists the help of her guests. Hilarity ensues when they are interrupted by the arrival of wry detective, Inspector Lord. A conscious parody of the detective thriller, Christie delivers a unique blend of suspense and humor. There is tension and laughter in equal parts in an intricate plot of murder, police, invisible ink, hidden doorways, and secret drawers.”

2020 Guest Chef Dinner Series @ The Suttle Lodge

  • SAT “The 4th annual chef series at the Suttle Lodge brings culinary talent from across the country all the way to Central Oregon. From January to June of 2020, each chef hailing from their own award-winning restaurant will be cooking a multi-course meal in our lodge. Creating menus according to their inspiration, dishes will be served family-style and fire-side. This week’s guest chef is Philip Krajeck.”

Caldera Open Studios @ Caldera Arts Center, Sisters

  • SAT“This winter, please join Caldera for three afternoons of art and conversation with our 2020 Artists in Residence. Sunriver Wine and Cuisine Stroll @ Sunriver Lodge

  • SAT“Join us at Sunriver Resort in the Main Lodge where Carson’s American Kitchen will be hosting the Sunriver Wine & Cuisine Stroll featuring Oregon wines. This fun and festive event will feature tastings from Oregon wineries, creative bites from Sunriver Resorts executive culinary team (menu below), and Live music by local talent KC Flynn. Tickets include a commemorative tasting glass, appetizers and entry to the tasting event.”

Winter Wonderland @ Summit High School Commons

  • SAT“A special evening for dads (or male role models) and daughters to share in the Rotary Club of Bend’s Daddy Daughter Dance – Winter Wonderland! Time to get all dressed up and come enjoy dancing the night away, having fun in the photo booths, eating yummy treats, and participating in lots of fun activities! Vertfest 2020 @ Mt. Bachelor

  • SATVertfest Mt. Bachelor is an event to celebrate winter and backcountry culture with a full Saturday comprised of races, clinics, demos, beer, s’mores and fiesta. It is a multi-stop mountain festival dedicated to raising the level of snow safety education and stoke for backcountry enthusiasts and supporting the efforts of avalanche centers everywhere. We hope you will join us for this exciting event! All proceeds from the event go towards the efforts of Central Oregon Avalanche Center.” [note: Register by on Friday, Feb. 28]

A Beer Pairing Weekend @ Brasada Ranch

Snowshoe With A Ranger @ Mt. Bachelor

  • Weekends through March 29th“Join a naturalist on a snowshoe tour at Mt. Bachelor! Learn about alpine environments and the natural features of the Cascade Range. Wear snow boots and warm winter clothing. Snowshoes will be provided. No previous experience is required. Snowshoe tours are FREE, however, donations to support tours and other Discover Your Forest programs are greatly appreciated. Tour size is limited, so first come first served. The minimum age is 8 years old. Advanced reservations required for parties of 6 or more.”

Trails & Treats @ Brasada Ranch

  • Each Saturday this winter“We’re not sure what the treat is, the homemade Brasada s’mores and hot chocolate or the horseback ride to Spirit Rock. No matter your preference, join Brasada Trails every Saturday from 1pm – 3pm this winter for trail rides to Spirit Rock where you’ll roast s’mores over the open fire pit and sip hot cocoa while enjoying the breathtaking views as far as the eye can see.”

Bingo Blitz @ Worthy Brewing

Crater Lake Tour

  • ONGOING (Saturdays)Experience Oregon’s only National Park with a professional naturalist guide. Departing Bend, Oregon, we’ll make our way up the south flank of old Mt. Mazama to the rim encircling one of the world’s most stunning bodies of water! With snowshoes strapped to our feet, we’ll course our way along the volcanic rim for incredible views down to Crater Lake. Fantastic memories are created when taking in the depth of the lake’s blue, white snow, evergreen trees, and the blue sky while the guide unfurls the area’s geology, hydrology, and human history. Wanderlust Tours will provide a tasty deli-lunch prior to heading back to Bend.”
