Here is our Central Oregon weekend planner, created each week to showcase events throughout Central Oregon!

 


Friday, Mar. 6

First Friday Art Walk @ Downtown Bend & The Old Mill

  • FRI – It’s First Friday Art Walk! Head into Downtown Bend for a night filled with art, shopping, music, and local food & drink. On First Friday in Downtown Bend, we celebrate ALL forms of art – music, comedy, photography, painting, sculpture, acting and more. Head to Downtown Bend, and delight your senses!

Bachelor Butte Dog Derby @ Mt. Bachelor Ski Area

  • FRI-SUN – 25-mile Stage Race Only — Snow conditions are a bit low on the bottom end of the loop, so we’ll be running the low-snow course, a modified 24 miles each day instead. Please check the race courses page for the course info. All the remaining courses will be the same as every other year..”

Skibike Festival @ Hoodoo Ski Area

  • FRI-SUN – “The Hoodoo Skibike festival celebrates our love of alternative sports at Hoodoo. Hoodoo is unique in allowing full-mountain access for skibikes, Trikkes, snowskates and snow scoots. Skibiking is a fun, easy-to-learn activity that provides a safe and low-impact way to hit the slopes. This event is great for seasoned skibikers and for those who have always wanted to try the sport.”

 


Saturday, Mar. 7

Irish Whiskey Dinner @ McMenamins Old St. Francis School

  • SAT “In Gaelic, Irish whiskey is known as uisce betha, the ‘water of life.’ And we couldn’t agree more. Celebrate Irish whiskey (and life!) at a multicourse dinner in Father Luke’s Room. You’ll taste so many intriguing whiskeys, you may feel a touch Irish by the evening’s end. Hosted by Hoke Harden and tasting a wide selection of Irish Whiskeys including Hyde 10 year, West Cork 10 year, Tullamore Dew 10 year, The Quiet Man 8 year, Jameson Cooper’s Croze and Green Spot. Paired with an amazing menu from Executive Chef Matt Schumaker.”

Music In Public Places @ various locations

  • SAT “Central Oregon Symphony Association has partnered with Crook County and Deschutes County Libraries to present Music In Public Places events throughout our season! The series includes performances in LaPine, Prineville, Redmond, Sisters libraries along with Symphony Spotlight recitals at Wille Hall in the Coats Campus Center, COCC Bend. The concerts will happen simultaneously at various locations throughout Central Oregon..”

A Beer Pairing Weekend @ Brasada Ranch

  • FRI-SAT – “We’ve partnered with Monkless Belgian Ales to bring you a weekend of craft beer, fine dining, beer education, and a meet & greet with the Monkless Team. Joseph @ the Tower Theatre

  • SUN “The sophomore effort from Oregon-bred trio Joseph, Good Luck, Kid is a road movie in album form, an odyssey at turns emotional, existential, and entirely literal.   • MON (winter)“Hoodoo is proud to give back to our military by offering 2-FOR-1 lift tickets to current and former veterans each Monday with a valid military ID. Hoodoo does not offer any discount ski tickets during Peak Pricing periods. Peak Pricing periods include Winter Break, MLK Weekend, Winter Carnival, and Presidents’ Day Weekend.”

Paulina Lake Lodge & Cabins

  • FRI-SUN (Winter) “Experience the magic of Paulina Lake in winter! The lodge restaurant and cabins open for winter on Dec. 20th – YAY! Snowmobile, snowshoe or take the snowcat up to the lodge for their prime rib dinner! Be sure to make a reservation!”

Snowshoe With A Ranger @ Mt. Bachelor

  • Weekends through March 29th“Join a naturalist on a snowshoe tour at Mt. Bachelor! Learn about alpine environments and the natural features of the Cascade Range. Wear snow boots and warm winter clothing. Snowshoes will be provided. No previous experience is required. Snowshoe tours are FREE, however, donations to support tours and other Discover Your Forest programs are greatly appreciated. Tour size is limited, so first come first served. The minimum age is 8 years old. Advanced reservations required for parties of 6 or more.”

Trails & Treats @ Brasada Ranch

  • Each Saturday this winter“We’re not sure what the treat is, the homemade Brasada s’mores and hot chocolate or the horseback ride to Spirit Rock. No matter your preference, join Brasada Trails every Saturday from 1pm – 3pm this winter for trail rides to Spirit Rock where you’ll roast s’mores over the open fire pit and sip hot cocoa while enjoying the breathtaking views as far as the eye can see.”

Bingo Blitz @ Worthy Brewing

  • ONGOING (Saturdays) – Bingo Blitz is maximizing the FUN in FUNdraising! The Worthy Garden Club, a 501(C)(3); hosts bingo every Saturday morning at Worthy Brewing (shout out to East side). Dustin Riley Events produces the high energy atmosphere that put BINGO on everyone’s bucket list!”

Crater Lake Tour

  • ONGOING (Saturdays)Experience Oregon’s only National Park with a professional naturalist guide. Departing Bend, Oregon, we’ll make our way up the south flank of old Mt. Mazama to the rim encircling one of the world’s most stunning bodies of water! With snowshoes strapped to our feet, we’ll course our way along the volcanic rim for incredible views down to Crater Lake. Fantastic memories are created when taking in the depth of the lake’s blue, white snow, evergreen trees, and the blue sky while the guide unfurls the area’s geology, hydrology, and human history. Wanderlust Tours will provide a tasty deli-lunch prior to heading back to Bend.”

  • ONGOING (Sundays) “Ready for the best BINGO experience of your life? Check out the bingo vibe on The Moon! We’re doing things a bit differently around here. A large portion of all bingo sales will go to one of our favorite non-profits; the Deschutes County Search and Rescue Foundation. Doors open at 10:30 AM. 1st game of BINGO will start at 11:00 AM!”

Live Music

  • ONGOING – The Volcanic Theatre and Pub hosts live music that’ll move you. Check their calendar for live theatre and movies as well!

A Starry Night At The Observatory

  • ONGOING – Come to the Oregon Observatory at Sunriver at night and view a guided constellation tour with experts.
