Friday, Sep. 6
First Friday Gallery Walk @ Bend
- FRI – The art galleries in the Old Mill District represent numerous artists and some are working artist studios. Our galleries showcase a variety of mediums from traditional paintings, sculpture, and photography to printmaking, fiber, and mixed media. Stop by anytime and meet these working artists and experience their beautiful works. Stop by on the first Friday of each month, year ’round, to view new showings. Music and libations will be available.
Cosmic Film Festival – Saving The Dark
- FRI – Join us for a documentary screening that looks at the various effects that light pollution has on our night skies and its significance for astronomy, human health, wildlife and beyond. At the Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory.
2019 Autocross
- FRI-SUN – Autocross Club of Oregon brings the 2019 Autocross to Mt. Bachelor’s West Village this weekend.
Cascadia Adventure Film Festival
- FRI-SUN – Join us for our inaugural year of the Cascadia Adventure Film Festival. CAFF will showcase influential films that highlight the adventurous spirit that lives inside each of us — the films that get us stoked.
Sisters Folk Festival
- FRI-SUN – The Sisters Folk Festival returns for its annual three-day celebration of American folk music, held the weekend following Labor Day in various venues in Sisters, Oregon.
Saturday, Sep. 7
Central Oregon Saturday Market
- SAT – Head to the Central Oregon Saturday Market featuring local artists, businesses, and produce.
CROP Farmer’s Market
- SAT – CROP announces a Saturday Farmers Market in Prineville at Stryker Park. Come buy locally grown produce, beef, pork, bison, lavender and so much more. Support our local farmers/ranchers.
Cosmic Film Festival – Saving The Dark
- FRI – Come to the Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory for this film about NASA’s Cassini spacecraft shared the wonders of Saturn and its family of icy moons and stay after evening star gazing.
In A Landscape – Classical Music In The Wild
- SAT – The Annual BOOMERAMA 50+ Health and Age Less Living Expo is produced “by Boomers, for Boomers”. Attendees enjoy this annual celebration for those 50+ Baby Boomers and beyond who choose to “Re-fire” not Retire. Join us for this fun-filled and information-packed event that brings a positive and life-affirming message to the ever-growing Baby Boomer/Senior population of Oregon.
In A Landscape – Classical Music In The Wild
- SAT – Classical Music in the Wild is an outdoor concert series in stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. In A Landscape brings a 9-foot Steinway grand piano to the middle of forests, fields, calderas and historical sites for classical music concerts. This Saturday, the event features Hunter Noack at Fort Rock State Park.
Music On The Water
- SAT – Elk Lake Resort caps off this year’s Music On The Water summer concert series with Mark Ransom.
Spike & Rail Day
- SAT – This annual event by the City of Metolius features a parade, a live auction, and free concert along with games, food, and drink.
The Ultimate Scavenger Hunt
- SAT – The most entertaining event of the year has returned! How well do you know Bend? Find out in this citywide scavenger hunt! Participants will have 25 destinations all around the city. The locations will include well-known landmarks, local businesses, and the lesser-known eccentricities of the city.
Sunday, Sep. 8
Sisters Farmers Market @ Fir Street Park
- SUN – Sisters Farmers Market invites you to come on down for some small-town fun! Share the bounty of our special town in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Microlocal produce, artisanal foods, handcrafted goods, & more! Now on Sundays—featuring lunch, coffee, wellness demos, music, and a splash pad for the kids.
Beat Beethoven’s 5th 5K Fun Run/Walk
- SUN – The fifth annual Beat Beethoven’s 5th 5K Run/Walk will be Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 9:00am starting at the COCC campus track, Bend, Oregon. The 1 Mile run/walk race will start a few minutes after the 5k has begun. Besides having fun and supporting the Central Oregon Symphony, the goal of the race is to finish before Beethoven’s famous 5th Symphony finishes – approximately 33 minutes.
Sole Support For Parkinson’s
- SUN – Walk to raise money for Parkinson’s research. 1k, 5k, and team options are available. More details and registration at SoleSupport.org.
The Great Drake Park Duck Race
- SUN – Immediately following the Sole Support event, is the Great Drake Park Duck Race. This annual event is a charitable fundraiser organized all four Bend area rotary clubs.

Sunset Dinners
- THROUGH SEP 7 – Mt. Bachelor hosts stunning views for a romantic sunset dinner. Enjoy an eight-course meal with friends or family and end your night with a moonlight chairlift ride down the Mountain.
Mt. Bachelor Bike Park
- ONGOING – The Mt. Bachelor Bike Park offers 13 miles of downhill trails and different options for various skill levels.
Live Music
- ONGOING – The Volcanic Theatre and Pub hosts live music that’ll move you. Check their calendar for live theatre and movies as well!
A Starry Night At The Observatory
- ONGOING – Come to the Oregon Observatory at Sunriver at night and view a guided constellation tour with experts.
