2020 COBA Tour Of Homes.
The annual Central Oregon Builders Association (COBA) Tour Of Homes is set to take place this weekend and next…
July 10-12 & 17-19, 2020
Fridays: 12 pm – 6 pm | Saturdays & Sundays: 10 am – 5 pm
As I wrote last month, the tour is a fantastic opportunity to see new homes throughout central Oregon – potentially including some areas that are normally gated. It’s also a great way to see what different builders are doing. I’ve been going on the tour since 2004 (when I was working as an architect – long before I was ever a real estate broker). In those days, I was going simply to see the latest design trends. But I also got to discover places that I wouldn’t normally have had access to – like Brasada Ranch, Pronghorn, and Ranch At The Canyons.
The tour is completely FREE and self-guided. Simply show up to any of the homes when they are open on days/times listed above to check them out. See as many (or as few) as you like!
The online guide is now live. The printed guide should be included with tomorrow’s (Wednesday’s) Bend Bulletin newspaper. Printed guides are also available for free at the COBA office, 1051 NE 4th St, Bend, OR 97702. I’ve placed some at our Bend office and I’ll try to get some down to our Sunriver office later this week. Most of the homes on the tour should have complimentary copies of the guide as well.
I really can’t recommend the tour enough. It’s a great way to see what local builders are doing – both from production and custom standpoints. And if you are new to central Oregon, it’s a fantastic way familiarize yourself with the area.
Chefs On Tour
It appears that this year’s Chefs On Tour – a ticketed, evening preview of six or so tour homes combined with offerings from a local chef at each home – has been canceled. Likely due to the ongoing issues associated with COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking of which, it probably should go without saying that you’ll want to be aware of COVID-19 Safety Guidelines before you head out to tour the homes. But I’ll mention it anyway as the tour experience is slightly more structured this year.
Hope to see you on the tour!
